Small pub that serves up really good food. Honestly I did not have one bad thing here and have been talking about going back since I left. Had an odd feeling for British food and this just hit the spot. Everything is lightly breaded, especially the fish and chips that I got the cod version but they also do a haddock version as well. Add some vinegar or not, either way it was very fresh, not to mention the curly fries which were crispy and so flavorful. The appetizers are where it's at. The banger Bites which are bite size British sausages lightly breaded and served with pickled onions and a honey Dijon dip. Very flavorful and very juicy. The fried mushrooms were not to be outdone though, you can tell it's lightly breaded and a little juicy so all the flavors come through. Even the onion rings that came with the polish dog were tender and tasty. The polish dog was a special of the day and was quite delicious. A juicy sausage with mushrooms and onions. Not to mention the staff was nice and very interactive!
We heard a lot about Archie’s pub and how their fish and chips are one of the best around. first of all, I love the atmosphere. It was very cozy for a small place and everyone is really friendly, The loaded baked potato appetizer was really good and the fish and chips were phenomenal. The breading was just right, and it was fried to perfection. They also have a few London based beers there which of course I had to try. Super friendly staff and the owner was really charismatic. Definitely the ultimate place to get fish and chips.
I’ve been to London and had fish and chips right there in Britain, and let me just say Archie’s has the best fish and chips I’ve had this side of the pond. Absolutely delicious crispy crunchy beer batter, over white flaky fish. The chips are also thick, crisp, and delicious. The Banger Bites appetizer is great also and nice sausage beer battered and fried with a great dipping sauce! And to top it off the sticky toffee pudding is absolutely the best tasting dessert you’ll ever put in your mouth by far. This is very authentic English pub food. They also have a nice selection of beers. This small and cozy pub/restaurant is a hidden gem!!
Everything here at Archie’s is exceptional. I order the fish and chips and it comes huge piece of cod and cooked to perfection. The coleslaw is also delicious. The sidewinder potatoes are crazy good. The fried mushroom are better that any I have had in any other restaurants. It comes with a dipping curry sauce which is to die for.
I love that it’s dog friendly and my server Sandy is always up-beat and checks with you the entire time you’re there until you leave. This is my favorite restaurant in Melbourne. FIVE STARS! Great energy here. Atmosphere is quiet.
With Love: Only one thing I would love to see change is the ketchup bottles. I used a napkin to wrap around the bottles label. It just looks unpleasant to look at. I am sure this was just overlooked.
I’m not even sure where to begin on this review! Well let’s start off with the staff! Awesome, very welcoming and beyond friendly! We couldn’t find the location because it’s easy to miss. They’re attached to Dunkin’ Donuts. We called them and their employee by the name of Sandy answered the phone. She was so friendly and kind, you could hear her smile over the phone. When we pulled into the parking space, she walked outside and welcomed us with a huge smile!
Billy was our waiter and was very friendly and made great recommendations! He was awesome!!!
Now the food….WOW!! The fish & chips was absolutely amazing! The buffalo chicken cheese fries were wonderful and so flavorful! One of my sons had the Archie burger and raved about it, while the other had buffalo wings and fries and was impressed with the flavor and well cooked wings!
The atmosphere is great, the employees are fun and it’s clear they enjoy their jobs and the food is outstanding!
Hats off to a FIVE STAR restaurant all the way around!
Definitely coming back!
I've been craving fish and chips for the longest time in Brevard County, My husband wanted to visit something in Cocoa Beach, but I read about this place and said, let us try this place instead! We were quite pleased with the food and the service was awesome! Now if they can update their beers on tap, and put more stouts and porters on it for us descendants of Irish background!
A very nice pub-like restaurant in Melbourne - an unexpected find!
I did not even know that this restaurant existed. Another restaurant that I usually go to nearby was closing and I was hungry for a late lunch and somebody suggested this place. It is located in the same building and adjacent to Dunkin Donuts. It is the north half of the building. Parking may be limited near the entrance but the building is in the middle of a parking lot so you will be able to find a space to park your vehicle. As you enter, it is truly like a British pub. We were greeted on entering by the gentleman behind the bar. There are about 8 4-person tables around the outer edge of the restaurant and a bar that runs the length of the left side. British memorabilia is everywhere! From flags to trinkets, bulldogs to callboxes, there is plenty to see. There are several televisions playing sports or news near the ceiling. The bartender came over and got our drinks and cleaned the table. I ordered Samosas and a reuben sandwich. They came out in about 15 minutes and were very good. The price was about $40 which is reasonable in our current economy. I enjoyed the experience and plan to visit this location again.
Heard about this place earlier today and had to go try it.
It's attached to the Dunkin Donuts, if that helps anyone find it easier.
We got the Fried Mushrooms with their creamy (yellow) curry sauce, the (cod) Fish & Chips, a Bacon Cheeseburger and some shooters.
Everything was really good, I let my fish sit while I was talking and the under-side got soggy, but the part I ate fresh was crisp and delicious.
Sandy was super friendly and the kitchen manager (forgot his name, sorry) even came out to check on us and chat about the place a bit.
Great experience, I recommend checking it out.
